The Ladies wing of NBC hosted a Theatrical workshop for children in the age group 4-12 years in the NBC club house on the 15th of August.
Mrs. Meenakshi Dutta, an expert in the field of Communication skill, who is also our Ex President of the Ladies wing , volunteered to conduct this workshop. Meenakshidi has been professionally conducting such courses all through for quite some years now, and NBC is really thankful to her for having given her valuable time.
Mrs. Arunima Debbarman, who has been a producer of films at Doordarshan, was invited as the chief guest. Arunimadi, has been in the field of media over the past 15 years. Her valuable contribution added more vibrancy and flavor to the program. A group of 24 children attended the workshop.
Mrs. Meenakshi Dutta and Mrs. Arunima Debbarman were welcomed with floral bouquets by the young participants.

The children actively participated and had fun whilst they were tought the lessons in presenting themselves in the most confident and professional way. This will go a long way in the personality building of the children. Mrs. Arunima gave lessons on voice modulation, clarity of speech thru SA RE GA MA.
The children were served sumptuous lunch of Chinese Fried rice, Veg Manchurian and Kalajamun. The afternoon session was mainly the display of the ‘lessons learnt’. Various real life expressions of anger, frustration, and joy were enacted. The performances were judged by Ladies wing members Gargi Dev, Sushmita Dasgupta and Arunima Debbarman. The children were distributed chocolates by NBC President Dr. Ashim Banerjee and Mr. Ashim Chatterjee. Honorable President and Chatterjee da also talked to the children about the 59th Independence Day.
The program concluded with vote of thanks to all participants.
