Women's Wing

The inaugural program to commemorate the founding of the New Bengal Club was just the day and place for the Ladies Wing to have emerged. Seventeen enterprising ladies with great enthusiasm navigated to get together and further the vision and objective of New Bengal Club(NBC)-----to reach out to all sections of society as well as offer the club members the very best that Bengal has by way of literature drama dance music and cuisine.

The ladies unanimously agreed that forming a Ladies Wing under the aegis of the club would be a wonderful platform where the members’ wives could meet, unwind and engage in a healthy exchange of ideas, skills and crafts. Senior citizens would also be encouraged to participate in these get-togethers. Such meetings, it was felt would lead to a sense of belonging and bonding and would forge closer ties between the members.

Hence Ladies Wing of the Club came into existence in September 2002.

It would have its own office bearers which will change every year like the Parent body and the President, Secretary and Treasurer were accepted as permanent invitees in the Managing Committee. So that they would be completely aware of the policies and decisions of Parent body and would be able to work in tandem with the Parent body.

The success stories behind Ladies Wing projects are to a great extent attributed to the tremendous patronage in terms of financial and infrastructural support that NBC renders Ladies wing from time to time.

The ladies meet once a month where either they are treated to a talk show or a demonstration of a particular craft or participate in a project of some sort.
