A limited over tennis ball one day cricket tournament on a turf is organised by Bangiya Parishad of Thane on 8th March 2020. NBC formed a team of interested cricketers, 14 such members of whom at least 3 were above 40 yrs of age. Pre-tournament a couple of practice games were held. NBC won the 2nd match with Nabodaya by 8 wickets. The final match was with SP camp Nerul. NBC won Silver
We are pleased to inform that Shatokshi De (Rimi), d/o Subrata & Sudeshna De of Siddhachal, bagged GOLD for the second time in Individual under14 in NATIONAL AERIAL SILK CHAMPIONSHIP held in Ahmedabad on 18.01.2020.
The sport is characterized by the use of ribbon, silk or tissue such that the player has to perform in the air depending wholly and solely on his/her skills. This type of aerial aerobatics is very popular in different areas of the world and has been recognsed as an art.

Our local corporator Mrs. Sneha Amre and her husband Mr. Ramesh Amre, who help us in getting the Durga Puja Mandap every year; has also helped us in renaming the Happy Valley Circle to Netaji Subhas Chowk/Circle. She informed us that naming the Chowk as ”Netaji Subhas Chowk” has been accepted by TMC.
As such they, along with the support of local Bengali population, celebrated the birthday of Netaji on 23rd January, 2019.
For this purpose a function was organised at the Chowk at around 10am. They requested us to assemble in that chowk on 23rd January, 2019. All were requested to come to the Chowk at around 9-30 am and make it a grand success.

An organisation from Airoli is arranging a one day football tournament.
NBC team wants to participate in this tournament.

Please read the invitation for the Football Tournament conducted by Airoli Bengali Association on 3rd August Sunday as per the venue mentioned in the invitation letter. We request our members to go to the venue to witness the football tournament and also to cheer up the NBC team. Lunch arrangement has been done by the organisers.
We would like to inform all our members that Under the esteemed guidance of our Club member Guru Smt. Nupur Chatterjee of Kalangan School of Classical Dance, 5 students participated in a National level classical dance competition organised by Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrutik Sangh, Pune.
Each student has ...successfully bagged a prize competing against 8500 participants overall participated from all over India.
Out of these five students , three students are the kids of our own club members. They got the prize in different categories as per their age.

NBC is impressed with the wave a young Fashion Designer “Kallol Datta’ is making in the fashion circle.
He is none other than our member Shri Kanchan Gourab Datta’s son.
Enclosed is the piece of info that he will be representing India in the upcoming Autumn winter fashion week in Berlin in 2012.

Almost after 2 months we are going to resume our Bangla Class ( it remain closed for summer vacation) from Sunday 10th July in the club room.

We would like to share with u that Mr. Kallol Dutta, son of our member Mr. Kanchan Dutta and Ladies wing Ex President Mrs. Minakshi Dutta, is doing very well in his field of fashion designing.
Kallol displayed his creations in the LFW Summer Resort, 2011 held between 11th: to 15th: March at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai.

Let us a take a moment to grieve the demise of Mr. Prasanta Kumar Chowdhury, one of the eight founder members of NBC from Gawand Baug, today 6th Nov. at 11 am. He lost a long standing battle against cancer.
We express our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray to the Almighty for the peace of the departed soul.

All of us are aware of AILA, the cyclonic storm (accompanied with heavy rains) and how it devastated human and animal life in stretches of West Bengal
(especially South 24 Parganas and Sunderban).
As a mark of our solidarity and support to the fellow natives of our home state, New Bengal Club has decided to organise a door to door visit to all the bengalees residing in the areas mentioned below :
- Stretch beginning from Majiwada to Kasarvadavli
- Pokhran I and Pokhran II which includes Vasant Vihar, Siddhachal, Ranuq Park,Lokupavan, Lokpuram, Hiranandani Meadows, Tulsidham, Neelkanth Palms, Eden Woods, Garden Estate, Valley Towers, Cosmos Heritage, Happy Valley, Shubharambh, Soham Garden,etc.
Help will be collected in cash or kind (foodgrains, clothing, etc)
We intend to begin this effort on Sunday June 14th, 2009 and in order to flag off the drive; we have decided to gather at Regal Plaza Building, Lokpuram on the 14th at 9.30 am.
We request you ,our members to join in this drive for this humanitarian cause. Members are welcome to bring along their personal contribution either in cash (cheque to be drawn in favour of Bharat Sevashram Sangha), when they join for the collection drive at 9.30am.
Collectibles will be forwarded through Bharat Sevashram Sangha to the affected people of West Bengal.
Club has decided to contribute from its benevolent fund on Natural calamity, its full quota earmarked and provided in the Balance sheet which is Rs.12500/-. Since the amount was not working out as big, hence we decided to go for door to door collection as well. Also, this effort aims for all of us showing solidarity towards people of Bengal under such sheer distress.

Mr. Samannay Ghosh received the prize on July 29th, 2006 at the JRD QV function being held at the Jamshed Bhabha Theatre, Mumbai.
