New Bengal Club Thane and Currae Hospital organised a camp for Free Pap Smear and Mammography Test for Ladies.
It is said that knowing about the most common cancers that affect women and how to lower the risk or find them early, may help save the life.
Women's bodies are always changing. Sometimes changes that seem normal can be signs of cancer, though. Hence, the key is to pay attention to the body so that one can notice when something's different.
The initiative by NBC Ladies' Wing to have a free check up of ladies of member families remains really praiseworthy.
Doctor (Mrs) Sujata Rathod, consultant Gynaecologist explained the ladies nicely, the need for periodical check up, especially those who have/had such kind of patients amongst relatives and are over the age of 40 yrs.
About 30 ladies were present and both Dr Sujata Rathod and Dr Rahul Kulkarni, consultant ENT specialist along with co-ordinater Mr Mitesh Nandi of Currae Hospital, Waghbilnaka, G.B. Road, Thane (W) took due care to conduct the relevant tests and necessary check up of all.
The reports were available after around 3 weeks and NBC Ladies' wing co-ordinators were contacted by the hospital authority for the same.
All the ladies were very much satisfied and happy for the care taken by the hospital personnel.
A big thank you to Drs & other associated persons, and also to the management of Currae Hosp. for arranging such free check up camp for NBC members.
