NBC is committed to it's social welfare programs as and when it is possible to do something for the society.
As decided in our Managing Committee Meeting, to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of our Independence Day, today we went to Shree Care Old Age Home, Mulund colony, Mulund west to spend some time with the elderly people who stay at that Old Age Home. Being the Independence Day, the Home authority organised a flag hoisting programme in our presence. The inmates also participated in the programme.
From NBC Ms Jhuma Dutta, President Ladies Wing NBC, expressed her experience with the home as she had come to that Home earlier also.
President, Mr. Abhijit Chatterjee in his address mentioned about the Independence Day and informed the inmates that they were from New Bengal Club - Thane and they had Come to spend some time with them. He requested them to tell about their experience, if any of them was born before independence. Two of the inmates spoke a few line and thanked the club authorities for coming and spending time with them.
From the Club’s side we donated one Folding Wheelchair, one Adjustable Multifunction Large Size Hospital Back Rest For Post-Surgery Use on Bed or Floor, Fruits and Sweets. We also arranged the One-Day food cost of the inmates as a part of celebration of Independence Day.
The happy faces of the inmates made all of us very happy too.
On behalf of the home authority , one of the sisters came forward and expressed deepest thanks to NBC for their gesture.
It was a very satisfying event today. We are thankful to the members who attended to make the event successful.
