Summer Camp Organised by Ladies Wing - 2008

6,7 June 2008

6th & 7th June – The new ladies wing committee members had a taste of their first project! Mrs. Namita Sawardekar of Sri Ma Vidyalaya School managed the children very well.

6th June morning saw 20 children aged between 5 to 10 years, all geared up with colourful papers. They were taught a collage, two innovative greeting cards & origami. Material was provided by the ladies wing as also lunch, cold drinks & snacks and a parting gift to each child. The children went home after a fun filled day & wrote many ‘excellent’ & ‘very good’ on the comment sheet provided to them.

7th June saw again 20 grown-ups aged between 10+ to 15 years zero in on the club room. Mrs. Sawardekar had a beautiful wall hanging with news paper rolls planned for them in the pre-lunch session. Post-lunch session was reserved for glass painting. Attractive floral motifs were provided & filled with some brilliant hues – the glass pieces were transformed into works of art. Materials, food & gifts were all provided by the club. The children gave us great comments & went home clutching onto their ‘master pieces!’

Last but not the least, ladies wing gives special thanks to Mrs. Sudehna De & Mrs. Sumitra Ganguly for their dedicated efforts to make it successful on 7th June.
