This is the 4th year in a row, New Bengal Club, Thane (W) has organised an open to all Solo Singing & Sit and Draw Competition for various age groups on Sunday Jan 8. There was attractive prize money for each event. Parents and schools enrolled the name of their children with the persons whose names are given below and in the event details pamphlet, as well as informed were friends and neighbours for the participation of their children too
The Program was witnessed and enjoyed by a packed auditorium.
Singing Competition was in the afternoon from 5pm to 9-30pm.
Language: Two songs in preliminary / final round
Personal Musicians were not allowed with participants. Musicians were arranged by the club. Apx.60 children from Thane, Airoli, Mulund and Navi Mumbai took part in Singing competition in two groups i.e Gr. 1 -Upto 12 yrs of age and Gr.2 – above 12 to 19yrs of age.
Honorary Judges for singing competition were Smt.Krupa Kulkarni a singer and a teacher of a Songs and Music Institution , Thane, Shri.Pinaki Chattapadhyay a Sangeet Visharad and a veteran in the Songs and Music Industry of Kolkata and Mumbai and Dr.Kishore Bhise, Thane Bhushan and a multifaceted distinguished personality of Thane.

Drawing Competition was in the morning from 10am to 12-30 am
Apx.300 children from Thane, Airoli, Mulund and Navi Mumbai took part in the competition
Note: Club provided drawing sheets. Participants carried own Drawing board, Colouring materials, etc.
Honorary Judges for Drg Competition were Shri Shankar Bhogwekar , Art Director of TOI and Smt. Sujata Kulkarni a former student of JJ School of arts and a drg teacher of a Airoli School.

All the winners were presented with Cash Prizes and Merit Certificates. The winners of the Drawing Competition were also presented with a trophy which was sponsored by M/s. Green Stroke Art Gallery of Manpada ,Thane for promoting Art and Culture amongst the Children.
All the participants were awarded with a Merit certificate.
