Anandamela is a fun filled fair which is the star enterprise of the Ladies Wing. It was in 2004 when the ladies decided that every Panchami day of the Durga Utsav Anandamela would be celebrated. The day is just right when we salute the spirit of Shakti by having a Women Entrepreneurs Fair by way of Anandamela. About 50 women have been participating and also other women’s organisations by showcasing their products, handicrafts etc.
Of course Anandamela is also the occasion when all ladies get together enthusiastically and prepare all the delicacies that Bengal is popular for. There is much feasting and prizes galore, games, dance competitions...Name it you have it!! Just the way to herald Durga Utsav every year!!!
