The Nabobarsho & Club's Annual Day celebration took place on 29.04.'18 at Gloria Hall, Ovala, Thane (W) amidst a very good gathering.
A brief account of the programme follows:
The programme started with lighting up the lamp by Abhijit Chatterjee, Tamajit Mukherjee, Rupa Ghatak, Monika Sarkar & Dipak Sengupta.
President Abhijit Chatterjee in his inaugural address highlighted the club's activities in 2017-18 under many challenging situations and thanked all the members of the NBC family for their active support & co-operation for all round success.
As ladies' wing of the club elected a new managing committee for the year 2018-19, all the members of the new committee were called on stage and introduced to the audience by Anup Banerjee.
The cultural programme started with a poem based item named 'Hrid majhare shabdo-barshan' participated by Mou Dutta, Debashis Gupta, Bhaswati Nag, Anup Banerjee and Malabika Bose. The concept, script, narration & direction were by Mou Dutta.
Prez Abhijit Chatterjee then called on stage the officials of SiDDHA group, Mr Vijay Chauhan & Ms Sangeeta Singh, who were felicitated with flower bouquets by Ladies' wing Prez. Rupa Ghatak and Secy. Monika Sarkar. Ms Sangeeta gave a small audiovisual presentation about the group and their ongoing projects in Mumbai, Kolkata & other cities.
This was followed by a fine musical programme named 'Bangla Adhunik Gaan er Bibortan' conceptualized, compiled, scripted & directed by Malabika Bose. Participants were Gargi Dev, Debashish Sarkar, Arpita Ghosh, Monika Sarkar, Reshmi Ghosh, Anup Banerjee, Soumen Dutta, Suparna Mukherjee, Medhadrita Kataki & Debankur Sarkar, assisted by Karim on keyboard and Champak on Tabla & Octapad.
Next was a hilarious 'Shruti Natok' named 'Paka Dekha' presented by Tapas Dey & Oindrila Dey.
The beautiful stage decoration was done by Malabika Bose, Suparna Mukherjee, Rajasree Dasgupta and Tannistha Chatterjee.
The entire programme was anchored by Bulbul Sengupta. The beautiful programme in totality ended with vote of thanks by managing committee member Debesh Kr Ghosh.
