NBC's day out to celebrate Kabi Guru's 150th birthday at the Museum - 2011

Mr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee The Director of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Mumbai ( Formerly Prince of Wales Museum) invited us (invitation card displayed below) to the exibition named " Hoppe's Bombay 1929 and Shantiniketan" to mark the 150 th Birth Anniversary of Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore at the Museum.

The exibition which was inaugurated on 28th December 2010 was open till 28th February 2011 from 10am to 5 pm except Mondays which is weekly off of the Museum.

We requested our members to visit the rare exibition and as an additonal initiative our club hired a bus for our members to visit the exibition. Only 50 persons could be accomodated in this trip, hence it was purely on 1st come 1st serve basis.

Besides enjoying the exibition and documentary film on Kabi Guru Rabindranath Tagore, the members also had an opportunity to see our Durga Idol made of Shola (year 2007) preserved in the Museum. It was an added opportunity to our new members who has not seen our Durga Idol of 2007 made of Shola.

Those interested were requested to enrol their name with Mr.A.K.Chatterjee
