The name ‘Barsha Mangol’ reminds all of us of the great poet Kobiguru Rabindranath Tagore who has written and composed various songs on rain or rainy season. ‘Barsha Mangol’ programme in different places have been taking place with Tagore songs every year; and, we have not heard of any deviation whatsoever.
To take a turn from the beaten track, we are going to celebrate ‘Barsha Mangol’ with popular Bengali adhunik songs written and composed by eminent lyricists and music directors of Bengal.
Enthusiastic members of the club will present tonight’s Barsha Mangol with musical assistance of Subhas Malegaonkar & Group.
