Observing Kazi Nazrul Islam's birthday is an occasion amongst Bengalis throughout the world. Cultural programmes are held everywhere.
Artistes pay their tribute to 'Bidrohi Kobi' through various forms of art. NBC also, on 26th May 2022 (11th Jaistha, 1429) evening, on Kobi's 123rd Birthday, paid tribute through a small yet beautiful impromptu cultural programme in NBC Club-room.
In the programme of about 2 hours, NBCians tried to remember Nazrul with honour, as a most Secular Person, Creator and a true Human being above cast and creed. Solo songs, recitations, talks and storytelling made it an excellent programme enjoyed by all.
The meet was a success as many arenas of Nazrul was revived by Senior members. Such celebration even being so informal, can bring the lost glory and pride of Bengalis and form a bridge for the next generation.
The programme, organised by NBC Cultural team, was steered nicely by Jhuma Dutta. It ended with delicious snacks.
