Celebration of Durga Puga is never complete unless it is followed by celebration of Lakhshmi Puja. In New Bengal Club also Lakshmi Puja was celebrated on the same venue where Celebration of Durga Puja was completed a few days ago.
The celebration of Lakhshmi Puja was in a calm and quiet atmosphere in the presence of Primarily Ladies wing members and also many other NBC members. The delicious Devi Bhog was prepared by Ruby Banerjee and brought to the Puja Mandap by Swapan and Ruby. The Idol was placed in a small, cute Puja Mandap made of eco-friendly materials. Ladies Wing members who helped in organising the Puja and helped the Purohit are Mala Dhar, Sipra Dey, Sipra Datta, Mala Samaddar, Anusua Basu and Rajasree Dasgupta.
The general Bhog was prepared by Swapan Das and distributed by a few NBC members along with the Caterer’s person.
The calm and quiet celebration with around 150 devotees was enjoyed by all.
We take this opportunity to thank all the participants, devotees , members, well wishers and patrons for the peaceful celebration of Durga Puja as well as Lakhshmi Puja.
We also thank the members for the feedbacks sent so far on the Durga Puja celebration . These will help us in improving our Puja in the years to come. So far we have got very good response.
