Our Milestones

NBC was established in 2002.

Within the third year of its inception, on 29 August 2004, we could purchase and inaugurated our very own club premises of 500 sq ft at 201, Regal Plaza Shopping Complex, Lokpuram, Thane (W), performing Satyanarayan Puja. It was a pride moment for all the members and well-wishers indeed.

Our idol of Devi Durga, made of Shola by President Award winner artist 'Shilp-Guru' Shri Ananta Malakar in the year 2007, has been preserved in the Mumbai Museum (CSMVS).

We are the proud recipient of from Government of West Bengal for 'Best Environment Friendly Durga Puja' in Rest of India category.

Since 2016 we regularly carry out Donation of Long Note Books, at the start of the session in the month of June, to the students of an under privileged school named Prithviraj Hindi Vidyalaya (Madhyamik), Thane where students from economically weaker section study.

Year 2017 Tree Plantation Drive - 50 neem trees planted along side the road of our Durga Puja venue in Mullabaug at Ghodbunder Road Thane West.

Year 2018 Durga Puja theme was –“Beat Plastic Pollution, Be Environment Friendly”. This was our effort in support of the Government of Maharashtra's appeal to make Maharashtra Plastic and Thermocol free. We are 100% eco friendly now.

Year 2019 theme was – “ ZERO Wastage” - one more social responsibility which should be spread amongst all the people.

Year 2020, during the peak COVID period – Donated Ration and Home-made food to the needy families (daily wage earners) who have lost their jobs during the pandemic and not able to afford the cost of the Hospitalisation for the COVID affected people.

During the peak COVID period our Club’s Ladies wing reached out to the migrant labours’ camp and distributed Free Ration to them.

We have also received local 'Thane-Vaibhav' award under 'Navratra Sajawat Spardha' in 2025 to add a feather in our cap.

For the second time, we were invited to participate in Thane's prestigious "Sanskruti Art Festival -Thane" in 2025 at Virasat Stage with a cultural programme which gave us a special recognition in Thane.
